How Do I Set Up mySierra Account?

Your mySierra student portal account can be used to access your email, register and pay for classes, buy a parking permit, check your grades and much more.

Note: If you are a former or returning student and you don’t recall your username or password, please contact Admissions and Records to recover your username and Student ID Number. With this information, you can use the password reset tool (questions/answers option) to reset your mySierra password.

Follow these instructions to set up your mySierra account:

1. Find the “Welcome to Sierra College” email in your personal email account. 
2. Reference, write down or save (1) your Sierra College Username, (2) Student ID number, and (3) Sierra College email address. If you don’t know or can’t find your username, you’ll need to contact Admissions and Records.   
    
3. Go to the Sierra College website (www.sierracollege.edu) and click on Logins, then mySierra in the top right corner.
4. On the mySierra login page, click on “Create/Reset Password”.
5. On the “Password Reset Tool” page, click "Reset Password."
    
6. On the "Get Back into Your Account" page, enter your full Sierra College student email in the “User ID” box. (ex. User@student.sierracollege.edu).  
7. Enter the characters in the picture or the words in the audio and click "Next." 
    
8. On the "Why Are You Having Trouble Logging In" page, select “I forgot my password” and click “Next”. 
9. On the "Verification Step 1" page, choose the contact method we should use for verification (i.e., email, text or call to your mobile phone) and click "Next." 
10. Enter verification code sent to your contact method.
    
11. Now create your password. Note: When choosing a password, make sure to carefully review the rules below or the system will not accept it: 
    
    Sierra College Password Rules

• Must be 15 to 32 characters, including at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter, and at least one number.
• It cannot contain your username, first name, middle name, or last name.
• It cannot be the same as one of your last 25 passwords or passphrases.
  
  To sign into mySierra, go back to www.sierracollege.edu and click on mySierra in the top right corner.
