Overview
Laptops are provided by Sierra College to support student learning and success. While supplies last, students can borrow a laptop for educational purposes only. Due to limited resources, we will only be loaning laptops to students who do not currently own/have access to a personal desktop/laptop computer.

Laptops are loaned for one semester at a time, and cannot be renewed. You can submit a new request each semester. Please return a laptop early if it is no longer needed.

Eligibility
Several departments at Sierra College loan laptops to eligible students. To confirm eligibility, please review the requirements for each department below.

- EOPS, CALWorks, NextUp, TRiO: Students who are currently enrolled and participating in these programs can borrow a laptop.
- Veterans Success Center: Students who are veterans and veteran dependents can borrow a laptop. Verification is required.
- Library and Basic Needs Center: Requests to borrow laptops are prioritized on financial need, so you must meet all three of the following criteria:
1. You have a current Financial Aid application on file (FAFSA or CADAA)
2. You are enrolled in at least 6 units or 2 non-credit courses
3. You do not currently own or have access to a personal computer or laptop

After the third week of the semester, if there are any Library and Basic Needs laptops available, all Sierra College students are eligible to check one out on a first come, first served basis.

IMPORTANT: If you submit your request in the first 3 weeks of the semester but do not meet the priority access eligibility criteria outlined above, you will not be notified about the status of your request until week 4 of the semester.

Please see the full policy (https://www.sierracollege.edu/library/hours-and... for more details, including Summer semester loan process and NCC and Tahoe Truckee loaner laptops.
