Overview

To request service(s) from the Marketing & Communications Department, please submit a Marketing and Communications Project Request Form. Marketing and Communications services include:

  • Email
  • Social media post
  • Sierra College mobile app
  • Giveaway promotional items request
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Press release
  • Brochure
  • Logo request for promotional items
  • Poster/Flier
  • Sandwich boards
  • Event calendar
  • Web page change or new webpage
  • Broken link/error

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Marketing consultations: If you aren't sure where to begin or not sure what type of project you need, the Marketing team helps many clients clarify their message and objectives and choose the right marketing avenues. Our approach is to concentrate on your ultimate objectives and target audience. Understanding these aspects will enable us to determine what tools and strategies can help. We will schedule a meeting with you to better understand your project goals, explore your options and specify a project scope. To proceed with a consultation, choose "Request Consultation" in the "Project Type(s)" field.
     
  • Requests are reviewed weekly.
     
  • Accessibility: All files intended to be added to the website must be made accessible prior to submitting a request. As the document owner, you are responsible for ensuring the accessibility of that document before Marketing posts it to www.sierracollege.edu.

Fees and Additional Costs

Any printing done will be ordered and paid for by department requesting printing. 

Social Media Account Guidelines

  • Accounts should be set up with a department email address (ie: marketing@sierracollege.edu)
  • Marketing should have login information and admin access to the account
  • Accounts should be revisited each summer to ensure they are still viable
  • There should be a director-level sponsor for each account with the approval of the executive dean or VP
  • Accounts should not be coordinated by student employees (nor should they have account access)
  • Content should be posted with a consistent frequency considering audience size (if page has a few followers consider posting twice weekly, if hundreds of followers twice daily, etc.)
  • Content should be focused on the department
  • Content should follow Sierra College branding guidelines when possible (see Inside Sierra for details)
  • Considering tagging other pages where appropriate and using #sierracollege on posts
  • Attempt to reply to any incoming comments/questions within 24 hours when possible
