Features
The Sierra Solutions Center is powered by TeamDynamix, an enterprise service management (ESM) system. ESMs are management solutions that streamline and coordinate the process of requesting services with the college community to include electronic forms and workflows. With this system, we are able to be more efficient in processing requests for our customer (or end-user) base.
Forms may include the following field types:
- Checkbox List: The attribute will contain a list of checkboxes, where the user is able to mark each checkbox independently.
- Color: The attribute will display a dropdown list where the user can select from Green, Yellow, or Red.
- Date Picker: The attribute will allow users to select a date with no time component.
- Date/Time Picker: The attribute will allow users to select a date with an included time component.
- Dropdown: The attribute will display a list of choices, of which at most one can be selected.
- Multiselect: The attribute will display a list of choices, of which the user can select any number.
- Radio Button List: The attribute will display a list of choices, of which at most one can be selected. This supports both vertical and horizontal lists when displaying the radio buttons.
- Text Area: The attribute will allow users to provide multiple lines of text. Since users do not have control over the valid choices for these fields, a Default Value can be provided.
- Text Box: The attribute will allow users to provide a single line of text. Since users do not have control over the valid choices for these fields, a Default Value can be provided. In addition, users can provide a Data Type for the text as detailed below:
- Text: The value in this field will be validated as a text string.
- Integer: The value in this field will be validated as an integer number.
- Decimal: The value in this field will be validated as a decimal number.
- Yes/No Dropdown: The attribute will display a dropdown which allows the user to select Yes or No.
Workflows may include the follow types of steps:
- Approval Step - The Approval Step allows a workflow to notify one or more approvers and wait for them to decide how the workflow should proceed.
- Task Step - The Task Step adds a Ticket Task to the ticket, with settings defined in the workflow.
- Branch Step - The Branch step allows administrators to more easily manage branches in workflows with multiple paths.
- Collector Step - The Collector Step joins several paths of a workflow and waits for ALL of the paths preceding it to complete.
- Timer Step - The Timer Step causes the workflow to wait until a specified time passes.
- Web Service Step - The Web Service Step allows organizations to automate processes by calling an external RESTful web service.
- Condition Step - The Condition Step allows a workflow to automatically route one way or another based on the values on the ticket.
- Choice Step - The Choice step allows a workflow to present a technician with multiple choices in order to progress through a workflow.
