Convert Word to a PDF

After you are done writing, you might want to convert your Word document into a PDF. PDFs can be viewed on most computers without the Word application, and a PDF file is a smaller size than a Word file is.

Windows 10

  • Go to the File tab

  • Click Export, then Create a PDF/XPS Document

Export menu  

  • Choose where you want the PDF to be saved, and choose Publish

Publish as PDF or XPS dialog box  

 

MacOS

  • Click File, go to Save As

  • Under File Format, choose PDF

  • Type the file name and click Export
