Inputting Appointment Outcomes in Sierra Connect

Question

How do I input appointment outcomes in Sierra Connect?

Answer

There are two required steps and two optional steps to complete appointment outcomes.

  • Required: The required steps include marking if the student missed or no-showed on the appointment, and marking the appropriate Speed Notes.
  • Optional- best practice: The two optional steps include inputting the actual start and end times, as well as including any comments that you feel should be included in holistic case management. 

When meeting with a student, navigate to your appointments tab within Sierra Connect.

Select your student by hovering over the date next to the student's name and then click the Outcomes button.

Notice when hovering that you can see basic details about the appointment.

REQUIRED STEPS FOR OUTCOMES

1. Mark if the student missed the appointment. NOTE: this will send the student a no-show email.

2. Select the appropriate Speed Notes for the appointment. 

If you are done and do not wish to complete the optional steps, click the Submit button.

OPTIONAL- BEST PRACTICE STEPS FOR OUTCOMES

3. Mark the actual start and end times.

4. Input comments and notes about the appointment that you believe should be included in holistic case management. 

Once you have completed all the steps, click the Submit button.
