How to change your default security method for MFA

How do I change my default MFA method?

Answer

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have set-up an Authenticator app as your default method, please take the following steps to change to a "phone - text" option as your default PRIOR to getting a new device. The following steps should also be taken PRIOR to changing your phone number. 

Sign in to https://myaccount.microsoft.com with your Sierra College username and password. 

Click on the Security info tab on the left side of your screen.

Select Change next to the Default sign-in method information.

Choose your preferred method to be your default. 
 

Select Confirm.
