How do I access Banner 9 from myAccess?
Answer
Banner 9 can be accessed directly from myAccess.sierracollege.edu without having to remote into your work computer. This means you can use web browsers other than Internet Explorer. Banner 9 will have a faster response rate if you use the application in myAccess instead of accessing it through remote access to your work desktop.
To access Banner 9 through myAccess first go to myAccess.sierracollege.edu For instructions on how to get to myAccess see the Knowledge Base article Remote Access Services & myAccess.
Once you log in and authenticate with MFA find the Banner9 Admin application tile and click on it.
Once you click on the Banner9 Admin tile you may be asked to log in again and go through the MFA process again.
You should then see the Banner 9 home screen.
You may occasionally get the error screen below. If you do simply go back to the browser tab that has your myAccess screen and click on the Banner9 Admin tile again. Just like you would click your Banner 9 shortcut again to reload Banner if you encounter this error on your work computer. You may need to do this several times before it takes you to the Banner 9 home screen.
