Click on the Courses link, which is also found on the Faculty and Staff web page under the "Curriculum/Faculty Resources" heading.
Log in to CourseLeaf using your mySierra authentication. Note: Click on any of the images below to enlarge them.
Click Propose New Course and the course Pre-Approval Form will open in a new window.
Notice: All fields outlined in RED are required. The proposal cannot be submitted to Workflow without content entered in each required field.
Scroll to the bottom of the Pre-Approval Form to view additional options.
Notice: Save Changes will not function unless content is placed in all required fields (you might use "XYZ" as a placeholder).
Once Start Workflow is clicked, the proposal will enter the Division Dean queue. CourseLeaf and Workflow communications will be directed to the faculty who submitted the proposal to Workflow.
Technical Review:
At any point in Workflow, the proposal may be rolled back to the faculty author for editing. An email notification will automatically be sent to the author when the proposal is rolled back. Requesting edits is a standard part of the Technical Review process. Once edits are completed, the proposal should be resubmitted to Workflow using Start Workflow.
New courses require 2 hearings:
1st Hearing: Faculty present the Pre-Approval Form to the Curriculum Committee. Upon approval, the proposal enters the Faculty queue for completion - previously hidden fields will show.
To access the Faculty queue, use the Approvals link and click Edit.
Scroll to the bottom of the course proposal to view additional options.

After the course is written, click Approve to move the proposal to the next stage in Workflow.

2nd Hearing: The course will appear on the Consent agenda for Curriculum, faculty are not required to attend the meeting for the final vote.

Division Dean --> Curriculum Chair --> Articulation Officer --> Curriculum Specialist --> Curriculum Committee (1st Hearing) --> Faculty --> Division Dean --> Curriculum Chair --> Articulation Officer --> Curriculum Specialist --> Curriculum Committee (2nd Hearing)
