Moving to Print Server PRTSRV-RC-01

Question

How do I connect my printer to Print Server PRTSRV-RC-01?

Answer

1) To Identify your existing print queue(s) – click on the windows icon then click on Settings

2) Click on Devices

3) Click on Printers and Scanners

4) Note the name of your print queue(s) – you may have only one default printer configured or many.  In this case, the print queue name is IIT5 and the print server name is SC239.

5) To set up a printer on the new Print Server click on Search Bar and enter \\PRTSRV-RC-01 and hit return.

6) Find the print queue and double click on the icon

7) Once the printer is installed, a print queue box will open.

8) Find your new print queue and click on it and then click on Manage.

9) Click on Set as default.

10) Click the back button to return to the Printers and scanners page.   To delete the old SC239 queue, click on the queue and click on remove device.
