How Your Recommended English Placement is Determined

Summary

View how English placement is determined

Body

Your recommended English course placement is determined by the following:

  • High school transcript: GPA and courses completed
  • Transcripts from other colleges
  • ACT and SAT scores
  • EAP and AP scores

All new Sierra College students need to have a placement on file before meeting with an academic counselor.

Visit DegreeWorks to make sure you have placements on file. If you have placements on file, be sure to view them so you know what they are. If you do not yet have placements on file, you will receive an email alert in mySierra when they are available.

ENGLISH PLACEMENT
