Online Class Schedule

Summary

How to navigate the online class schedule.

Start by visiting www.sierracollege.edu. Hover over the Academics tab at the top of any page, then select Class Schedule.

Select the term you would like to search from the dropdown menu, then click on the continue button to proceed for that term.

Next, you can enter in your search criteria to include Subject, Course Number, Keyword, and a number of advanced options if you expand the Advanced Search link.

By expanding the Advanced Search, you can search by:

  • Attribute which will display classes that meet certain GE, degree or transfer requirements         
  • Campus will narrow your results to a specific location, to include online (Distance Learning location)
  • Instructional Methods which will show you classes that are on-ground (in the classroom) or partially online (hybrid) as an example
  • Part of the term which will show you classes taking place in the first or second 8-week term as opposed to the full 16-week term
  • Meeting Days, Start Time and End Time options will display classes that take place during the options you select. Please note, online classes do not have a specific day and time to meet
  • To display only classes with available seats, click the Open Sections Only checkbox before searching
  • If there is a particular instructor you would like to take, choose their name in the Instructor field

Many categories allow you to enter more than one search criteria.

If you have multiple pages of results, you can choose to display 10, 15, 20, or 50 results per page, and you can progress through the pages of results by clicking on the arrows shown at the bottom of the page.

Use the information in the columns displayed to learn more about each course. For additional information about each course offering, click on the Title of the course to open a new view of additional information:

To view the class start and end dates as well as meeting days and times, click on the Instructor/Meeting Time tab:

To see the last day to add or drop a class, click on the Important Dates tab:

If there are other classes that you will need to enroll in at the same time, click on the Corequisites tab to see what is required.

You can also check things like enrollment availability (click on the Enrollment/Waitlist tab), attributes pertaining to GE, degrees, or transfer (click on Attributes tab), or any additional course or material fees (click on the Fees tab), just to name a few.
