Book Vouchers

Eligible students will be awarded Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 Book Vouchers. You can use the Fall 2020 Book Voucher between August 17, 2020 – August 31, 2020 at midnight. You will be able to use Spring 2021 Book Vouchers between January 11, 2021–February 1, 2021 at midnight. The Book Voucher allows a Pell Grant eligible student to buy books or school supplies at the Sierra College Campus Bookstore. Book Vouchers are posted on your Financial Aid Student Requirements. All charges will be deducted from you anticipated refund from the Pell Grant program. If you decide not to use a book voucher, not to worry, no charges will be applied.

To Check if You Have a Book Voucher:

  1. Log into mySierra.
  2. Select "Financial Aid."
  3. Under Financial Aid Activities, click "View My Financial Aid Status." Then select the current aid year (i.e., 2019-2020).
  4. Select "Student Requirements."
  5. If you are eligible, the message will read “$ Book Voucher for Fall” or "$ Book Voucher for Spring" with a green check next to it.

The voucher amount depends on your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from your FAFSA and your enrollment level and if you are Pell Grant eligible. If you did not file a FAFSA, or if you did not complete the processing of any request for documents by the Financial Aid Office, then you will not be awarded a book voucher. Sierra College does not run a book voucher program for summer.

To use your book voucher, present your Sierra College Student ID at the campus bookstore. You can also order books online at the Sierra College Bookstore Web Page.
