How Do I Create a Sierra College Account? (Student)

Question

How Do I Create a Sierra College Account?

Answer

New Students: Once Sierra College receives your OpenCCC application, the processing time to create your account varies. Monday - Thursday, the system can take up to 24 hours to process, but usually takes about 15 minutes. If the application was submitted during Friday - Sunday, it can take up to 48 hours to process. You will receive a "welcome" email from Sierra College approximately 5 minutes after you submit your OpenCCC application. The welcome email will be sent to the email address you listed on your OpenCCC application. The welcome email includes your username, Student ID Number, and instructions on how to create a password using the option called, "Reset my password with questions." If you don't receive the welcome email or if you received it and you still can't access your account after 24 hours, contact Student Tech Support.

Former/Returning Students: Anytime you skip a semester, you would need to reapply in order to register for classes at Sierra College. You can reapply by visiting www.sierracollege.edu and clicking on the "Admissions" link, which will take you to the OpenCCC site where you can reapply.  Once Sierra College receives your application, the processing time to reactivate your account varies. Monday - Thursday, the system can take up to 24 hours to process, but usually takes about 15 minutes. If the application was submitted during Friday - Sunday, it can take up to 48 hours to process. You will need to know your Sierra College username and Student ID Number in order to reset your password. You can use the password reset option called, "Reset my password with questions," as long as you know your Sierra College username and Student ID Number. If you don't recall either one, or both, contact Student Tech Support.

Student Employees: Student employees have access to their Sierra College account due to their current student status. If you are unable to log into your account, try resetting your password using the option called, "Reset my password with questions." If you still have trouble, contact Student Tech Support via chat, email or phone or the ITS Service Desk at (916) 660-7777.
